Our foundation

Service is more than a response to need. It is a way to awaken strength, confidence and possibility in every person.

Founded in 1963, the Education, Relief and Welfare Section of Ananda Marga works for the integrated development of individuals and communities. Its purpose is both practical and deeply human: to meet immediate needs while helping people build the capacity to shape their own future.

How ERAWS serves
02

Three expressions of one mission

From human need
to human flourishing.

01

Education

02

Relief

03

Welfare

How we work

Local wisdom.
Shared responsibility.

Lasting progress grows from within a community. ERAWS brings people, knowledge and practical resources together so that every initiative can respond to its place, culture and real needs.

Principles in practice

Help that strengthens, not replaces.

01

Human dignity

Every person is approached as a capable participant, never merely a recipient.

02

Integrated development

Physical, mental and inner wellbeing belong to one complete vision of progress.

03

Service beyond difference

Care is offered across distinctions of nationality, ethnicity, faith, gender and social standing.

The ideal that guides us

“Átmamokśárthaḿ
jagaddhitáya ca.”

Self-realisation and service to humanity
One inward movement. One outward commitment. One indivisible humanity.

Move the mission forward

Let’s turn care
into capacity.
